TAX CREDIT INFO FOR MISSOURI RESIDENTS
Monetary donations of $100 and $50,000 toward this project may be eligible for a Missouri state tax credit of up to 70%. This means that a donor giving $1,000 can get a tax credit award letter from the state for $700. These tax credits can be applied when filing your 2024 state taxes next year. This tax credit only applies to Missouri residents or businesses and is not applicable to religious or non-profit organizations.

We are raising money to make a difference and further our
cause of supporting those experiencing a domestic or sexual violence emergency.
To meet these ever-growing challenges, we’ve started our Houses of Sanctuary campaign with the goal of raising $700,000.

We are looking at constructing 14 houses in total.
Six one-bedroom houses for single women, or those with one
to two children. Cost: $20,000 each or $120,000 in total.
Four two-bedroom houses for a mother and up to four children. Cost: $40,000 each or $120,000 in total.
Four three-bedroom houses for mothers with up to six
children. Cost: $60,000 each or $240,000 in total.
The remaining funds will go to concrete pads for the houses,
utility hook ups, sidewalks, landscaping, a playground, and other miscellaneous necessities.
Our mission: Christos House is here to assist those escaping
a domestic or sexual violence emergencies, by finding them a place of refuge and support. Unfortunately, demand for our services has outstripped the size of our current shelter. Therefore, it is essential that our shelter be expanded to serve an ever-growing population and to make sure everyone in need has the ability to protect their families, build back their autonomy and independence.
